On this date, ten years ago, Rough Trade released the first record by The Libertines, their recently-signed band. It was called What a Waster

The video for later single, Don’t Look Back Into The Sun, was made-up mainly of footage from said date. Amongst the footage was the band walking around London which, at that time, was under siege by a ‘Golden Jubilee’

The country is currently suffering something similar: a ‘Diamond Jubilee’

So rather than achieving multiple orgasms over an event that has no worth whatsoever, despite scary amounts of money being spent on it, you should appreciate the best band to ever grace our world
